Freedom of Information - Charging
Publication Scheme Charges The individual classes
of information indicate when a charge may be levied. As it is intended that
the majority of information contained in the Publication Scheme will be posted on our website, there
will be no charge made by us, although you may have to pay any charges made by your Internet Service
Provider, personal printing costs, etc. There may be certain publications that will only be available
on receipt of payment. Where such charges apply, this is clearly identified against individual documents. For
those without Internet access, a single printout of the information contained on our website is available
on request from FOI Unit Room 6-19 Clarence Court Adelaide
Street Belfast BT2 8GB However, requests for
multiple printouts, or for archived copies of documents, which are no longer available on the website,
may attract a charge for the cost of retrieval, photocopy, postage, etc. We would let you know this
at the time of your request. Some information being made available under our
Scheme has a standard charge, for example, Annual Reports. Where this applies, the cost of providing
the information is detailed below the individual documents. Charges
for information not available on the Publication Scheme You may have to pay a fee
for other information requested. This depends on a volume of material requested. Responses to enquires
that cost the department less than £600 to process will normally be provided free of charge although
there may be a small charge for disbursements. The Department has the right to refuse to respond to
a request that is estimated to cost more than £600 to process. However, we may process the request if
the cost is greater than £600 and if we do, you will be charged the costs in full.
