Freedom of Information - What we publish

Our publications are organised into classes of information in line with the Information Commissioner's guidance on Departmental Publication Schemes. This site is currently being populated.

The information contained within these classes will be retained in line with the Department's retention and disposal schedules. The classes of information are structured within the following categories:

Classes for Legislation

Class: Approval Notices and Special Orders
Description: Approval Notices approve the equipment used by the PSNI for speed detection and preliminary or “roadside” breath testing.
Class: Primary Legislation
Description: Examples of the types of primary legislation under which the Department operates/discharges its functions.
Class: Subordinate Legislation
Description: Examples of the generic types of legislation made under the powers contained in the aforementioned primary legislation.
