Local Government Reform Programme Communications
Introduction Communication is recognised as a key priority throughout the Local Government Reform Programme.
The DOE established a Local Government Policy Division (LGPD) communications team in 2009 to work specifically on local government reform communications.
The team will be working closely with the Northern Ireland local Government Association (NILGA), local government, transferring function departments and other stakeholders to provide relevant and timely information throughout the local government reform programme.
Communication Documents In order to aid communications, the following documents have been produced:
- Communications outline implementation plan (PDF, 139 KB)
Date: February 2010 This proposes the communication responsibilities and activities that should be undertaken to support the effective implementation of local government reform through relevant and timely information to all staff and stakeholders. This is a joint (DOE and NILGA) document.
