PDP A
Governance and Relationships The Policy Development Panel A (PDP A) - for governance, community planning and central-local government relations - deals with the development of recommendations on policy and implementation proposals in relation to:
- governance arrangements for the new councils (the standards, roles and responsibilities for members and officers)
- a community planning framework and the guidance needed for an effective council-led process (transferring planning and the power of well-being to local government); this new power would allow district councils to take any action, not already the responsibility of another agency, that it considered would advance the well-being of the local community or local area
- developing effective ways for central and local government to operate and relate, particularly on matters of mutual interest and concern
