Working Group

The Working Group was chaired by the Department of the Environment (DoE) Permanent Secretary and comprised of a wide range of representatives from the public, private and community sector along with a number of independent experts.

The role of the Working Group was to direct Taskforce business and consider the recommendations of the subgroups.

The Working Group held regular meetings from March to August 2006 and in consultation with the "Political Panel" reported the findings of the nine subgroups to the Taskforce. Subsequent to the recommendations of the IDeA Report the Working Group was replaced by the Strategic Leadership Board in January 2007.
