Producer ResponsibilityThe Environmental Policy Group is responsible for all packaging and packaging waste legislation to ensure compliance with the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive. It is also responsible for regulations on non-packaging plastic waste from the agricultural sector. In June 2009, a strategic review of packaging policy was undertaken by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), the Department for Business Innovation & Skills (BIS), and the Devolved Administrations of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
