Environmental Impact Assessment

The Public Participation Directive requires Member States to put in place measures that will enable the public to participate in the preparation, modification or review of certain plans and programmes relating to existing environmental legislation.

The Water Resources (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006

This legislation was made on 27 November 2006 and came into operation on 1 February 2007 amending the Water Resources (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005 implementing, in part, Article 2 of Directive 2003/35/EC on public participation.
