A Co. Armagh man had his fine for illegal waste offences reduced from £30,000 to £15,000 at Armagh County Court today.
In October 2012, Mr Thomas James McArdle, (46), of Rockstown Road, Cladymiltown, Armagh, had been fined £10,000 for each of three offences.
He was also given a three month suspended sentence. This sentence has now been overturned.
The offences involved the shredding, deposit and burial of between 200 and 300 tonnes of shredded waste, including glass, plastics, wood and metals.
