Registration summary Under the WEEE Regulations, producer compliance schemes must meet their obligations through the procurement of evidence notes.Only Approved Authorised Treatment Facilities (AATFs) and Approved Exporters (AEs) are allowed to supply evidence notes.
Eligibility Criteria Applicants must have a relevant waste licence, PPC Permit or Exemption.There is no requirement for a waste operator to seek approval; it is purely a commercial decision by the applicant if they want to supply WEEE evidence notes.
Regulation Summary The requirements for and conditions of approval for AATFs and AEs are set out in the UK Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2006 as amended.
Application Evaluation Process Each application will be assessed and determined on its own merits, providing all relevant information has been supplied.
Will Tacit Consent Apply? No
Target Completion Period Under the regulations, NIEA must make a decision within 12 weeks of receiving a duly made application.

Small applicant (less than 400 tonnes evidence) - £500

Large applicant (more than 400 tonnes) - £2590
