Registration summary Producers that place electrical or electronic equipment on the UK market are obligated.  They must join a WEEE compliance scheme and meet their obligations for recovery of the WEEE collected in the UK.  There are different obligations depending on whether the waste is household or non-household WEEE.
Eligibility Criteria Producers are manufacturers, re-branders or importers who place EEE on the UK market.  There is no minimum threshold in the regulations – all producers are obligated.
Regulation Summary Producer obligations are set out in the UK Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2006 as amended.
Application Evaluation Process Each application will be checked for data accuracy and the relevant recycling and recovery obligations will be calculated

Target Completion Period 28 days
Fees

Large producers (turnover more than £1 million) - £445 per year

Small producers (turnover less than £1 million) - £220 per year

Micro producers (under VAT threshold) - £30 per year

Apply online Not available.  Obligated producers must join a WEEE Compliance Scheme and they will complete registration on your behalf.
