A Conference on Local Biodiversity Action in Northern Ireland
On 21 April 2010 we held a conference celebrating the essential role of biodiversity officers in protecting and promoting our natural environment.
Over 100 delegates attended the event at Mossley Mill and presentations were given by Local Biodiverstiy Officers from Belfast City Council (.PDF 2.4Mb)
, Newtownabbey Borough Council (.PDF 5.61Mb), and Craigavon Borough Council (.PDF 3.51Kb).
Delegates also heard compelling arguments for appointing a Local Biodiversity Officer from Environment Minister, Edwin Poots, Pat Lyons from Quarry Products Association (.PDF 5.61Mb), Ken Bradley from Planning and Environmental Policy Group (.PDF 1.44Mb) and Antrim Borough Council - Danny Kinahan MLA (.PDF 6.89Mb).
