Conservation of the Historic Environment
To ensure our historic monuments and buildings stay in good condition we have a range of initiatives in place to support their ongoing repair, maintenance and conservation. We do this through our Conservation Works Team, or by offering management agreements, grant-aid, or guidance to owners.
We also provide advice in response to consultation from other government departments, such as Planning Service
or Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD)
, to ensure our built heritage is conserved to the best possible standard.
