I have already received an offer of NIEA Historic Buildings grant-aid in excess of the capping amount, will this be affected by the capping?
No. Any offer already made will not be affected by the capping process.
I have already applied for grant-aid but have not yet received an offer of grant - Is this affected by the capping?
Yes. Any application received on or after 5 July 2010 will be restricted to a maximum offer of £150,000 per scheme, per year- however-
Historic Buildings Grant-Aid Applications for the following three categories received before 20 May 2011 are capped at £250,000 per scheme per year:
- thatched buildings
- listed buildings on the Buildings at Risk Register
- those who qualify for enhanced grant
Any application for these categories received on or after 20 May 2011 will also be subject to the £150,000 maximum.
I have already submitted tendered bills of quantities and not yet received a letter of offer. Is this affected by the capping?
Yes. As in the Question above any offer will be restricted to a maximum of £150,000 per scheme per year, with the exception of applications received before 20 May 2011 for the following categories which will be capped at £250,000 per scheme per year.

Any application for these categories received on or after 20 May 2011 will also be subject to the £150,000 maximum.
Will the capping system be reviewed?
Yes. It is expected that this will be reviewed later in this financial year.
Can I withdraw my application and re-apply at two separate phases?
Yes - you may submit separate applications, however we will only consider one application in any given year. Large projects could be undertaken in separate phases, over several years.
