A high profile TV and media advertising campaign to raise awareness at public and business levels of the need to reduce the volume of waste going to landfill and to treat waste as a resource which can be recycled into useful products.
The project aimed:
- To reduce the volume of waste going to landfill and increase the recycling of waste materials in the cross-border area through education/awareness
- To involve and encourage participation in waste reduction/recycling/recovery by a wide range of stakeholders
- To contribute to the improvement of inter-regional understanding of waste generation, monitoring and management by providing robust baseline data.
The project received €2,074,703 in grant assistance.
