The North Western District has important habitats and wildlife living in areas identified as needing special protection under existing laws.

  • drinking water protected areas
  • freshwater fish
  • shellfish waters
  • bathing waters
  • nutrient sensitive areas
  • water dependent Natura 2000 sites
