Eglinton farmer fined 1,200 for pollution offence

A Co Londonderry farmer pleaded guilty and was fined 1,200, plus Court Costs and Offenders Levy of 15 at Londonderry Magistrates' Court today.

Recycling increasing but we need to do more to reduce waste - Durkan

The Environment Minister today welcomed the fact that the tonnage of recycled household materials, excluding composting, increased by 1,647 tonnes (over 3.5 %) compared to the same October – December period of the previous year.
