ETS 10 Application for Transfer of a Permit

An application for transfer must be made in all cases where the Operator is to change. A joint application must be made by both the Operator and proposed transferee using this form. Part A of the form must be completed by the Operator and submitted to us and to the proposed transferee. The proposed transferee must then complete part B of the form and submit the completed form to us. The proposed transferee must also complete form ETS 4 and submit this to us and the Environment Agency in England.

ETS 11 Application for Surrender of a Permit

Where an Operator has ceased carrying out all of the Schedule 1 activities authorised by a permit, they must apply to surrender his permit within one month of the cessation. An application for surrender cannot be made in advance of the cessation.

ETS 12 Application for Retention of an Allocation due to Rationalisation

Under certain circumstances where a site is closed as part of a rationalisation and more than 50% of the production is transferred to another installation then an application to retain allowances may be made.

The National Allocation Plan provides for allowances to be retained by a closed installation if this closure was part of a rationalisation and subject to certain criteria being met. All applications must be accompanied by a verification opinion from an approved source.
