Part A and Part B Processes subject to central control by the Chief Inspector

For part A processes, operators should refer to the Environment Agency IPC guidance notes for England and Wales. Part B process guidance notes have been produced by IPRI. A 'Practical Guide' for part A and part B processes has also been produced by the Department. Part A and Part B general guidance notes give advice to applicants on how to prepare and submit an IPC application. The Part A and Part B application forms, the Part A and Part B general guidance notes and the Part B technical guidance notes are also available from IPRI in hard copy format.

Part C Processes subject to local control by District Councils

Technical guidance notes for Part C processes have been produced by the Department of Environment. Any queries on the Part C processes and requests for application forms should be directed to the environmental health section of the relevant district council. A series of four general guidance notes for part C processes has also been produced by the Department of Environment as follows:
