Much of the research and development work carried out in these areas is delivered through external contracts and other arrangements. The Queen’s University Environmental Science and Technology Research Centre (QUESTOR)Opens in new window. is also supported by us and provides environmental research with an emphasis on technology transfer and commercialisation.

We work with the United Kingdom Technical Advisory Group on the Water Framework Directive to deliver relevant research and a database on research projectsOpens in new window. has been developed.

We are members of the Environment Research Funders’ Forum (ERFF)Opens in new window. that aims to maximise the effectiveness of funding for UK environmental science.

We also work with the Irish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)Opens in New window in areas of mutual interest and detail on EPA supported research is available from their web site.
