NIEA State of the Environment Reporting brings together important information to help us to understand the pressures and impacts our activities are having on our natural and built environment. It also provides an evidence base to discuss what our key challenges should be in the future of our environment and where we should best target our activities.
The reports included are of interest to policy makers as they provide the evidence base for the development of a strategic approach to the protection and enhancement of our environment. The indicators included have been designed to assist future comparison and measurement of our changing environment, making it of interest to both researchers and consultants.
