Projects Aiming to Improve aquatic Resources (PAIRS)
Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) would like to develop a register of all projects, large and small, that aim to protect or improve some aspect of our waters or the aquatic environment.
In order to help us gather information on all the activities (or ‘measures’) being carried out to enhance and protect our rivers, lakes and coastal waters, fens bogs and designated conservations areas (especially Natura 2000 sites), please download and complete the project information form (.PDF 64 Kb)
with details of any activities your organisation manages or participates in. Please give us as much information as you can.
Please note - we are specifically interested in activities which are not managed directly by Government or driven by legal requirements and which started after March 2005.
The information collected will be used by Northern Ireland Environment Agency in the development of Programmes of Measures, part of the draft River Basin Management Plans to be published by 22 December 2008.
The information will also be used to help complimentary projects make contact with each other and to help all projects gain easy access to NIEA information holdings and support. Please attach additional pages as necessary. In time, NIEA would like to facilitate access to this register of projects through a suitable web site.
Please note the details of the upcoming Catchment Stakeholder events can be found on the NIEA website.
Please return completed Project Information Forms to:
