About us

The Department of the Environment (DOE) in Belfast has statutory responsibility for road safety education in Northern Ireland.  In 1994, after a competitive tendering process, the Department appointed McCann-Erickson Belfast to be its road safety advertising agency in Northern Ireland.  

Two further competitive tendering processes followed in 1999 and 2004. Following success in both of these competitions the agency was reappointed by the Department.

(In 2004 the Directors of McCann Erickson Belfast completed a Management Buy-Out of the company and re-named it LyleBailie International).

This agency has now been planning, developing and executing DOE’s road safety campaigns since 1995 to date.
