This survey looked at how recent changes in the taxi industry have affected consumers. These changes included a marked increase in the number of licensed taxis; their growing contribution to transport provision; and a perceived quantitive increase in illegal taxiing.  

The research provided data outlining the types of people who use public hire taxis and private hire vehicles, when and why they use them, and their experience when doing so.
